Welcome to our Spiritual Community

Welcome to the Unitarian Church of Montpelier. We have been a religious home for open-minded Vermonters since 1864. We are an inclusive congregation welcoming all people-- of all ages, classes, ethnicities, genders, physical abilities and  sexual orientations--into our community.

Services are held weekly beginning the first Sunday after Labor day and ending the second Sunday in June. Worship and church school are held Sundays at 10:00am. Braille and large-print hymnals as well as listening devices are available for Sunday services. During the summer months we gather for silent and spoken meditation in the Vestry on Sundays at 10 am. Office hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The Unitarian Church of Montpelier is seeking a coordinator for the High School Youth Group.  This paid position is part-time for an average of four hours per week from August through June. Responsibilities include: facilitating a Sunday late afternoon or early evening group, planning curriculum, communicating with youth and parents, working with volunteers and coordinating with the Director of Religious Education.

We are very excited to announce that the congregation has voted to call The Reverend Joan Javier-Duval to be the Settled Minister of the Unitarian Church of Montpelier!
